Lyrics
Banana Bread
Tell Tales EP
Sitting at a fuel station, waiting on a spark
There’s a lady putting out cigarettes, just yards from where we parked
They say the older the wiser, man
Or maybe you don’t
It had us laughing about the graveyard, on the other side of the road

But now you got me fretting with what you said
I guess it’s nothing, until it’s something … dead.
You gave me your theory on a wonderwall,
as I ate my cake, you said it’s a verse repeating a little later in,
exactly the same way
And the feeling of air conditioning, on a hot, hot day
Greets you like Apple pie and ice cream
It was as much as I could take

Before you had me choking on my banana bread
You said I guess it stands for nothing, until it’s something…said.

We better get going, still got the day to waste
I’ve just about siphoned off everything, and now it’s all that I can taste
But we still got each other right? Share in the love and the pain
Just heard on the radio there, it’s two of your 5 a day.

I’m better off forgetting what you said
How you said nothing, until it’s something….

I think I’m gonna stay, but I’ll miss you anyway
I think I’m gonna stay, but I’ll miss you anyway
I think I’m gonna stay, but I’ll miss you anyway
I think I’m gonna stay, but I’ll miss you anyway
Daddy
Somewhere in Between EP
If you find yourself just sitting and crying
Or if you're alone at the zoo
Quiet little baby don't you sigh
Daddy's gonna be home soon
He's walking around this town
Making right damn sure you're safe
If there are any bad men around you
He'll be there to save the day
Oh baby don't cry
Your daddy's right by your side

Aeroplanes falling from the sky
Houses crumbling down
Music playing loud from the next door guy
Or should you ever fall to the ground

He's walking around this town
Making right damn sure you're safe
If there are any bad men around you
He'll be there to save the day
Oh baby don't cry
Your daddy's right by your side
People shouting loud just passing by
If you run out of food
If the boy you like's been telling you lies
Daddy knows what to do
He's walking around this town
Making right damn sure you're safe
If there are any bad men around you
He'll be there to save
If there are any bad men around you
He'll be there to save
If there are any bad men around you
He'll be there to save the day
Forest Fire
Somewhere in Between EP
Forest fire, burned for three days
Canopy, a bed we both made
A bed we both made to sleep in
Ashes and kindling

Reasons, they're ricocheting
One, and another
Back and forward
In one ear, out the other
Maybe I'll watch it burn, maybe I'll watch it burn
Maybe you'll sit and learn, maybe you'll sit and learn
Maybe I'll take my turn, maybe I'll take my turn
She's paints the scene in radium
As to not feel so alone
Roots crack as it seeps on through
Can you feel it in your bones?
Maybe I'll watch it burn, maybe I'll watch it burn
Maybe you'll sit and learn, maybe you'll sit and learn
Maybe I'll take my turn, maybe I'll take my turn
'Cause I'm floating in the water
And your drifting out to sea
The tide won't pull you in this time
So hold your breath and count to
'Cause I'm floating in the water
And your drifting out to sea
The tide won't pull you in this time
So hold your breath and count to
Guns Will Stop for Christmas
Single
Ho ho it's Christmas time
The bells are ringing loud
All around is festive cheer;
Joy inside the crowds
But take some time in your day
Look inside your hearts
To put out there a little love
It's only just a start
Ho ho it's Christmas time
Good will to all men
For everyone peace on Earth
Must surely come again
Ring in the new year
With a glass of two of wine
But the greatest gift that we could give
Is hope to humankind
Hallelujah breaking in a day
The guns will stop
The sun will shine
And doves will fly away
Stockings hung and presents wrapped
Under Christmas trees they lay
On the radio the singer prays
For Christmas every day
Ho ho it's Christmas time
Good will to all men
For everyone peace on Earth
Must surely come again
Ring in the new year
With a glass of two of wine
But the greatest gift that we could have
Is peace within our time
Pull the Trigger
Somewhere in Between EP
The room smells of sulphur
And the walls are soaking wet
Let's give them day
They ain't… ever gonna they ever gonna forget
There's Plans and maps on the walls
Missed calls… full bottles
Four guys with standards to trade
They gonna end it all today ain't gonna be another

Way down underground they don't make a sound
'Cause they got us all running
Somebody tell 'em they're lost and confound
With their head in the clouds
Know we've done nothing wrong
They give us the facts and the figures
Know we've done nothing wrong
It's when the room falls silent
And ideals thrash from lies to truth
There's some crackled pre-record
But on the TV some hidden face
Speaking just like me and you
He's giving orders on malls
Concert halls anything at all's
Gonna fill them up with claret and red
Boys it's a matter of life or death so learn how to play dead
Deep down underground don't make a sound
'Cause they got us all running
Somebody tell 'em they're lost and confound
With their head in the clouds
Know we've done nothing wrong
They give us the facts and the figures
Know we've done nothing wrong
Pull the trigger pull the trigger
Step out into light
And their eyes are open wide
Emotions blow through their minds
They're the Martyrs from the riptide
The severance those cast aside
Man you should of seen the shooting stars
Concrete blast through parked cars
It's one day of history made and I'm afraid to say
They ain't gone never learn how play safe
Down underground they don't make a sound
'Cause they got us all running
Somebody tell them they're lost and confound
With their head in the clouds
Know we've done nothing wrong
They give us the facts and the figures
Know we've done nothing wrong
Pull the trigger pull the trigger
Pull the trigger pull the trigger
Pull the trigger pull the trigger
Pull the trigger pull the trigger
She's Gone Away
Tell Tales, EP
She's gone away
Never woulda told me
if she was ever gonna come back to say
But by the time I closed my eyes
She crawled into my bed,
asking where's the money?
Both barrels loaded
and fired one through the ceiling
She’s a castaway
But she was far too clean in her boots
and her jeans to be a runaway
I picked her up when she was thumbing a ride
She told me about her brother
like he was bloodline to me
But as the years went by,
she never said why,
the reason he was serving…
Time, she said I ain’t got time
But I could see it, in her eyes,
the lie.
She’d Gone Away
Never woulda thought that
she was ever gonna come back to say
She was putting out the forest fire
So I left two rounds
where they’re usually found
in the bedside table
And as the stars shone down
there was only one around
to tell the end of the tale.
One Love
Tell Tales EP
All the things you do for me,
just to know you care.
All the things we laugh about,
to show you’re there
It’s all the same, and part of one love,
the way we feel.
Just to have you next to me,
it keeps me sane
Counting out grains of sand,
from our parting ways.
It only takes the smallest space
to feel the Earth away.
The time we spend - the hours to days
- only for the pay
Now I’m stealing time,
like it’s a game

And just for now I’ll carry on
floating through the haze.
Until I can find a place;
A space to breathe
The clocks keep on telling me lies,
saying, ‘It’s OK,’
‘Just a little longer to go,’
until you’re mine.
But, my days go as fast as they come;
spinning around.
Precious time slipping away
from me again.
But anyway I’ll carry on
living day to day.
And in the smallest place,
I’ll carve your name.
All the things I do for you
so you know I care.
All the things we laugh about
to show I’m here.
It’s all the same, and part of one love,
the way we feel.
Just to have you next to me.
Universal Skies
Somewhere in Between EP
Can you feel my love
Reigning from above in your skies?
Can you feel my warmth
The wonder in your birth and your lives?
We are the lonely
We are the bringers of your days
You're not the only
Oh just a speck in the milky way
The heavens are open
They're inviting you to stay
But you've got to be ready!
Thunder on the earth
As you clamber for the stars
To reach new highs
The life you leave behind
Is one again you hope to someday find
Out here a million
Light years from what you thought you knew
Will you find it?
Oh just a shot in the dark of space
You're running for something
But it's all just part of the human race
And you gotta slow down!
So home you want to fly
On the wings of angels that once flew too high
You're burning up our space
There but for the grave of god in your eyes
And back in the old world
Even the darkness had its place
The forces we act on -
The oceans your dreams the trees that sway -
Are waiting to bring you
Back to where it all began
So you better be humble
